attention fam! attempting to draw a picture in color when your reference picture is in black and white is a BAD IDEA and you will be very angry also, i'm attempting to showcase my emotions through greg pictures in this thread because... eh i have no reason but it shall be done anyway so gotta find a surly picture oh right of course current mood: his face is like a ball on top of two sticks later the entire him got turned into a ball it is fascinating

okay so to move on with the theeeeeme of the thread i started out a new drawing yesterday and the beginning sketch was this: and now, after me having discovered the smudgy tool we are here: and i can't help but think that the start out sketch looks way better than the progress one and it is infuriating also what the fuck is his neck, how do i draw that i've checked so many times with the original image like IS IT REALLY SUPPOSED TO BE THAT SHAPE and yes apparently it is anyway i'll have to work on that but hooo wait i wanted to explain why i chose to draw this image because i have very good reasons 1. this picture was actually taken backstage at the marquee gig with king crimson in 1969 and i recently downloaded the bootleg, with some help from friends who found it for me(well actually found a good quality copy of the hyde park gig for me but then the whole website turned out to be a goldmine and there was the marquee) and it was a glorious gig and especially the recording of i talk to the wind, it is the most pretty thing, i cannot believe it was recorded 47 years ago, LIVE recorded like how wild is that, technology is amazing if you want me to send it to you i definitely will because i want to fling myself from a very tall building with it playing on the highest volume and scream along as a fall to my death, only to be resurrected so that i can listen to it again and repeat the flinging action i'm very dramatic, excuse me oh right and reason #2 for drawing this image is because he's pretty

alright i gave up on the detaily smudgy picture because i didn't like it no smudge for me no thank YA and i'm currently working on a drawing with the entire ELP well in this picture they're more like "PEL" the amount of work put into this VS the amount of creativity is highly surprising i've been filling in colors for hours yet there really was no creativity to it because i literally just chose four colors for four different shades i suppose the amount of work corresponds to the amount of detail also, i would recommend you people ELP songs if it weren't for the fact that i really wouldn't recommend ELP to anyone who isn't already a fan of endless synth parts and sexual assaults of keyboards and ridiculous clothing and lyrics about made up animals wearing armor and planets of doom and truly awful album cover art so it's risky business, recommending them but if you like that stuff then i'd recommend a lot of songs

okay so i i did this and uhm i was going to start drawing the background and i started out with some grass around where it blocked their limbs because it simply didn't make sense that a foot or an arm would simply DISAPPEAR so i had to add some grass but then i found this option that said "gradient" and uhm as an experiment I added the gradient, and all the previous progress disappeared so i couldn't go back so this was rather unexpected but psychedelic in its own way obviously i'll have to fix carl's......... left arm, from my perspective the right arm but i don't want to draw this picture anymore, especially not after it erased my progress, i'm holding a grudge anyway this is from the left: carl palmer, keith emerson and greg lake additional fact: carl palmer was considered so pretty by the media that shortly after this he was like NOPE and cut off all his hair and proceeded to have the stupidest haircuts for like 30 years on another note my sister is going to come visit me and i have yet to do anything useful today and i'm in the guestroom where she is supposed to be sleeping, all because my own room is way too messy to be inside so i'll have to get a move on with cleaning up

Hehe well anything would be better than the album covers they actually had Im very happy you like the colors alibaba
I'm gonna get me some DISCIPLINE My jam is more indiscipline I do remember one thing.... It took hours and hours.... And by the time I was done with it, I was so involved, I didn't know what to think. Did you know the lyrics to that song was based off a letter that Adrian belew got from his wife who was a sculptor I'm not sure if this is a true fact but I think so?
I just realized that my month with the tablet is up And I have to return it. THIS EVENING. this is highly distressing, I wasn't quite prepared My mother says I should just ask him if I can borrow it for some more time but that doesn't feel right, it's a nice and fancy expensive thing
So this thread has come to an end, I suppose

I did like drawing on a tablet!!!! my favorite things were: not having to bring out the entire army of paints to be able to create something not getting paint on EVERY SINGLE THING not having to wait for it to dry being able to easily erase something/paint over it with another color because these are the things that cause me to almost never paint I highly recommend it actually, it was a lot of fun my friend was like "so did you draw anything but greg lake" and i just "........................................... whatever do you mean, i have no knowledge of this person that you speak of" oh and i had one last drawing that i worked on yesterday before i went away i just have to.... find it

i found it this is the last sketch! i tried to draw on it with the mousepad but it was difficult i hope it's been rather nice for everyone, i know this is an rhcp forum and i intercepted it with lots of drawings of an old white dude but i'm not the most social of creatures and otherwise i don't know if i would have shown them to many people
