Back to England as the boys play back-to-back shows in Birmingham! Still some seats available on both nights for those who may be interested and might not have tickets at the minute. Guessing the show will start around 8.30-9.00pm local as per usual. Hope all those going have a great time!

Also really enjoying Hey getting more air time. It deserves to be played more. Nice to see Detroit there and also STS after a month's absence too.

Yep, DILYK was played last night though. Very interesting to see Cali left out again. Being phased out? Possibly more a break than phasing it out but I wouldn't be upset if it were not to appear as much anymore. Look at UTB and how it's being rotated, it has benefited the sets big time, providing more variety. Same with the first three songs of these sets. This wasn't happening last tour, very much am enjoying it!
Also first time HTC and TMB have been played in 2 months.
Night 2;
1. Can't Stop 2. Dani California 3. Scar Tissue 4. Dark Necessities 5. Nobody Weird Like Me 6. Hard to Concentrate 7. Go Robot 8. Parallel Universe 9. Sick Love 10. Tell Me Baby 11. The Getaway 12. Did I Let You Know 13. Under the Bridge 14. By The Way
Encore
15. Dreams of a Samurai 16. Give It Away

After the initial surprises, it seems they are bringing back rare songs they played some times ago back now to keep it varied. As great as the set lists are, it makes me wonder what else could happen in the future. Which songs from SA, By the Way and Calif do you think might still come around? (or perhaps a different record)
I figure they played so much from Calif already not much will happen, maybe This Velvet Glove or I Like Dirt? And same for BSSM and MM (relatively speaking for all three). But it would be really nice to see SA and By the Way to be less underused. Other than Can't Stop and By the Way; Universally Speaking, Zephyr Song and Don't Forget Me have been played for a combined ten times or so. For some reason, since the Josh era, By the Way comparatively seems to have become more of the odd one out in sound and production. It's not close to being my favorite Chili Peppers record, but seems to be really interesting live to bring a different atmosphere.

Throw Away Your Television, Charlie, Strip My Mind and I Like Dirt are the songs I can think of that were played last tour but have not popped up this tour in regards to those three albums. So I would say those are very realistic as Josh is already knowledgable about how to play them.
I agree 100% that songs from Cali have been the most played this tour, especially if you look at the song guide thread. The number of plays are much higher than any other album (minus The Getaway of course). By the Way, like yourself, is not my favourite album yet has a bunch of songs that I think would work. I read the other day that recently AK heard This Is The Place whilst out and mentioned it in passing a couple of shows ago, apparently he completely forgot about its existence. He is the main man when it comes to set lists so unless he's willing to rehearse and learn songs he has forgotten then I think its a long shot. I can imagine the other three guys pushing him to play certain songs but he may not feel comfortable or up to it. I'd love to be a fly on the wall just to hear what songs get thrown around when discussing what to play and stuff.
In terms of what else could be played as we continue the tour other than those mentioned ... its hard to say. The setlists this tour have been high quality. I think there's a chance Meet Me at the Corner and Monarchy could return from IWY. Breaking the Girl hasn't been played so far this tour and is the only song left from BSSM that was played last tour, yet not on this tour (not including Apache tease or Lovely Man jam). If You Want Me To Stay could be back if Mark is to believed, that would be awesome and another deep cut for us more fanatical fans. Then you have Encore and Hunter which have yet to debut. Josh has hinted at My Friends potentially being played this tour too, but id say is close to no chance.
Theres a little group there that could be introduced. Its hard to predict though haha! I think we will get more surprises over the rest of the tour. I mean who was expecting them to break out Yertle this tour? I was definitely caught off guard hahaha (thank you Henrik!). What do you guys and girls think though in terms of what still may be played?

Thats it, thanks man! I read about it and then saw it on Youtube the other day but didn't get the chance to listen. I hope he is encouraged to keep practicing it and they are willing to play a song like that as I think it would sound freaking great. We all know there are gems across all 11 LP's, it's just what are they willing to have a go at. More so AK than the other guys.
