The boys venture out of Germany again and find themselves in Denmark on the 16th. European leg is drawing closer to a close as we approach the Nth American leg in Jan. Have fun to those who are going!

They played Emit Remmus, I'm so curious to hear that, although I'm the first to admit I'm a huge Californication fanboy. Recently Josh, and The Getaway in general a bit, have been reminding me of the sound of Teatro Sessions a little. The way he has been playing pretty low, dirty and screechy high interchanged with full lows could be really great for Emit. And then the general distortion driven jams he has been doing should be great for this as well.

(edit option is bugged)
They did Freaky Styley and Catholic School Girls Rule teases/jams (seemed to be pretty long judging by twitter) and this sequence: Emit - Calif - Feasting - Aeroplane - Freaky Styley - Catholic - Sick Love - Higher Ground - I Could Have Lied
That might be the single most insane sequence of the tour so far to me. And those last 6 are '95-'85-'85-'16-'89-'91, that's pretty incredible.

Long time no see guys, but I really need to tell you about this!
The gig was unbe-f*cking-lievable, and the setlist even better. Emit Remmus was on fire, they played it last time here in Herning as well, don't know why we're that lucky.
From what Anthony said, it sounded like someone on the front row requested Freaky Styley, and we got about 1 minute of it with plenty of "Funk 'em just to see the look on their face" and Flea on fire. After that Flea and AK were messing about, chit-chatting something like "I'd love to be a catholic", and I was just waiting for it to happen. Flea looked at Chad, he started playing the part, but wrongly, and Flea went "not like that Chad, faster". So he got it right, Flea picked it up too, and started singing the chorus. For the love of me I can't remember if Josh joined in, I was too caught up in the moment, but Anthony nonsensed his way through a (very incoherent) verse, Flea and Chad (maybe Josh, idk) kept it tight, and Flea sang another chorus.

Thanks for that report, that's fantastic to read. Flea has been nailing the old song lyrics. Makes you wonder if someone had to back AK up even in '85.
How was Aeroplane for you? In Antwerp it was incredible and it just made me see whole OHM in a new light because of the new feeling it gave to it live to me. Was Josh nailing it on Emit? It seems his recent playing style would suit it so well.
edit; AK has been into trying off the cuff stuff so much lately, he's been great.

Aeroplane was really great, no doubt about that. Musically pretty much everything but Go Robot and some parts of Cali was amazing. GIA was, as always, a good ending song, but I've heard better, and they didn't really have any killer outro to it. Emit Remmus stood out to me, but then again, it is also a personal favorite of mine. Feasting was brilliant, so was Aeroplane, Snow (especially Josh in the intro), Can't Stop and Goodbye Angels. Flea had some trouble in the beginning of I Could Have Lied, he might have broken a string or so, but it worked quite beautifully with AK and Josh solo on the verses, great vocal performance today. FS and CSGR was just the icing on the cake today. Also, I thought I heard a faster version of FS in the very beginning of the first jam (between DN and Maggie, if I remember correctly), and I was kind of disappointed when it wasn't going to be FS. But then, I got what I wanted in the end

And a final fun fact before heading to bed: after the first two verses of ICHL, AK and Josh kind of stopped, the stage went dark for a few seconds and AK said "we need you here Flea"

Nice to see you here again, man! Sounded like you had a great time, hope it was a great show! Freaky Styley and CSGR back to back teases is really cool, would have been awesome haha. I like that they are going for I Could Have Lied over UTB in half the sets now, as well as rotating with Soul

Yeah, I had a great time, one of my favorite setlists in a long time, and I just so happened to be there! Btw Transcending, in the setlist thread you got the order wrong - they played FS before CSGR
