Absolutely adore this song, probably in my top 3, possibly even my favourite from The Getaway.
Poignant lyrics, brooding instrumentation and haunting melody-line. Infact, the run of tracks from Encore-Hunter-Dreams of Samorei is one of the best on any RHCP album and an epic ending to the album.
Apparently, Hunter is about AK's dad who has dementia, although I don't understand the line "even though you raised me I will never be your father"?? What does he mean by that? |

[/p][/quote] I assume it's referring to the role reversals which tend to happen as our parents age and we find ourselves looking after our own parents. But that's just my understanding of it, could be way off... Beautiful song though. |
