So guys, the big question here. Luckily you can change your answer regularly, which'll probably be necessary for the most of us. But let's hear y'alls first impressions

My own answer has to be Dreams of a Samurai, and I don't think I'll change my mind. Anytime soon, at least. It's one of the most well written, well thought out and best performed songs in the Peppers history, I think it's going to be a great favorite of mine.

Alright this is just at this moment and so on, and that option to change it a million times is really nice. Right now, Detroit.
edit, ^ Dreams of a Samurai will be known as the great album closer next to Sir Psycho Sexy and Venice Queen, it's the one song on there that already is a crystal clear stone cold classic on release day, there's just no denying its presence in any way I see.

Yes, I definitely see the comparison with Sir Psycho Sexy and Venice Queen. But actually, the first thing that came to my mind when listening to it, was that it felt the same way as Death of a Martian, but then again that might just be the similarity in name

It is so hard to choose at the minute. I was not expecting it to be an album that is so well rounded and strong nearly all the way through. Goodbye Angels, Dreams of a Samurai, Encore, Dark Necessities are probably top of my list but even then i feel I'm not doing the right thing in neglecting the other tracks hahaha. Im With You was much easier to pick from which says a lot. I'll put Dreams of a Samurai for now because that shit is some of the best stuff thats come from this band and i'm not even exaggerating. Knowing our fan base, a Froosh fan boy or girl will probably tell me "If" is 10x better than Dreams of a Samurai now lol

I picked Encore but Goodbye Angels and Dreams of a Samurai are also standout tracks.

I can't find one song that is outstanding for me. They are so different that I love them all but will go with The Hunter just because of the massive amount of sounds it has.

Wave, I'm so happy someone chose The Hunter :') I couldn't personally, from the sheer love of Dreams of a Samurai, but I don't think The Hunter has seen all the love it deserves

Great to see so much love for Dreams of a Samurai, I had to go with Detroit, but Samurai is right up there. Others (reddit etc) don't seem to notice a lot about Samurai at all. This is a recent reddit-related poll: www.strawpoll.me/10525608/rI love how divided opinions are, everywhere you go general accepted opinions seem to be different, and unpopular tracks are picked up by people making threads about them to back up how great they actually are. In short, everything on the entire album is favorited by some, and that's really exciting, shows how high the collective level of The Getaway is.

Sick Love for me. Love Elton John's little piano parts and the chorus is so catchy, also some cool rhythm work from Josh.

My top 3 off the album: 1. The Hunter 2. We Turn Red 3. Encore I would have assumed Sick Love would be in there. for me it's Encore, Goodbye Angels, Dreams of a Samurai. The first two go back and forth.

Now I can't choose, I love all the songs. Still my favorite is GA. It's weird, because for the first several listens of the album, the title track did absolutely nothing for me and I thought it was the worst song on the album. Now it's slowly become one of my favourites.
